Assalamu Alaikum Everyone!

How are you doing? I hope you are having an amazing day wherever you are in the world! May Allah bless and shower you and all those you love with happiness and health.
Today’s blog post will be another transcript for my most recent video. I know I have been gone for a bit, but I am back and that is what is important. This past month while I was gone I have been procrastinating a lot and just trying my best to get back on my grind. So, more than anything I really need these tips to help me finish this school year strong. I know sometimes our lives can get so chaotic with all the responsibilities that we have and we feel like we cannot really take control. That is why we sometimes need reminders to help us get back on the right track. InshAllah you guys are able to take from these tips and can apply them to your life, so we can all experience a nice glow up. By the way, getting your life together means something different to everyone, so define “getting your life together” in the way that makes most sense to you, and work on applying what is necessary to get there. Anyways, enough with intro and lets get into what is really important.
♡ declutter your living and work spaces
First tip that we will to start with and one we have talked about it a few times, is to declutter your living and work spaces. Obviously, many of us will be doing school online this year, and we have an idea of where our work space will be. So, I highly suggest that you take the time to make sure the place you will be working in is one that motivates you to work. Decluttering has been know to help lower stress levels, it has been scientifically proven. In fact, it has been shown that cluttered environments affect our ability to focus and concentrate. So, if you have been noticing yourself completely stressed and not concentrated on what you are trying to do, then take a look at your room and other spaces you spend lots of time in. I can tell you that when my room looks like rodents are about to sprout out, my stress levels are at an all time high. On the other hand, when my room is nice and organized, I feel like at upmost peace. Like, I could have 50 assignments the next day but still feel pretty chill. Another thing about decluttering, it increases your productivity and efficiency, which like who does not want to have that when they are trying to have nice glow up. So all in all, we have got to declutter our spaces so we can glow up and get our life together.
♡ clean your room and other (main) areas and keep them clean
The next tip goes hand in hand with the first one, and it is to clean your room and other living spaces you are usually in. I cannot tell you enough that whatever living space you are in, it is probably what you are. What I mean by that, is that you are what you live in. So, if your room is chaotic, messy, dirty…well guess what?! It only means that you are chaotic, messy and dirty. I am not calling you that, but it is what it it. And how about we change that, so we can be beautiful, clean and organized. A dirty room literally screams toxicity and that’s one things we do not need to add to the list of things that ruined 2020. Just like decluttering, cleaning your room means less stress and an organized headspace. It also means that you can get the sense of accomplishment and happiness after having cleaned your room. It literally is the best feeling in the world, when you just feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off of you. So, lets take a step to clean our room and that way we don’t have to deal with roaches in our room.
♡ plan out your days and what you need to do (use a planner system)
Did you guys know or notice that the most superior of people are usually the ones who are organized and seem to have their life together. Having your life organized is literally the one thing to getting your life together. Especially during the school year, I like to have my days and weeks planned. I typically like to do a to-do list for each day or week depending on how busy my schedule will be. Planning is literally key to effective time management. It allows you to stay prepared and work on completing things ahead of time. It helps you make the most of your time and be just a tad bit more productive. Especially during times when we face high amounts of stress in our lives. I find that when you take the time to plan your day, it helps you set short term and/or long term goals. When you actually accomplish these goals, you get the most incredible feeling in the world.
♡ take some time to take care of yourself
One of the things that gets neglected when we get caught up with our busy schedules, is self care. Self care is probably one of the most important things in one’s life, at least in my opinion. Some self care practices that you can try yourself include, doing a nice face mask, a bath maybe, you can also catch up on your journaling, treat yo self or go shopping. Or whatever else that will help you take your mind off things and boost your dopamine levels. There are so many benefits of self care. For one, it can actually  increase your productivity. When you take time off to reflect on yourself, your habits and your life, it gives you a chance to rethink your goals and ways to combat them. This is just one benefit of self care some others include, better immune system, lower stress levels, lowers cholesterol, lower risk of many illness that can include cancer, diabetes, and other heart diseases. The list can go on. As much as our responsibilities in life are important, don’t forget that your wellbeing is just as important. And you have to remember that no one is gonna take care of you as much as you will take care of yourself. So, it is not selfish to take care of ourselves and show ourselves a little bit of appreciation. Self love, you know.
♡ create better habits for yourself
This next point correlates a lot with the previous point, and it is for us to work on building better habits for ourselves. With better habits, comes increased productivity and organization, and an overall much easier going life. Having good habits especially during times of school is very important, as most of the reason why our life feels pretty hectic at times is because of the increased build up of bad habits. You don’t have to make dramatic changes to your life in order to have good habits, you can simply start small. For example, if you have a habit of waking up late and never getting anything done during the day. You can start by waking up an hour or two earlier than the usual. Maybe you want to sleep a little bit earlier than usual. Maybe workout a little bit or go for a walk. These are just some good habits that you can add to your schedule. They are small but they make a huge difference, and will be like a stepping stone for even better habits that may take a little bit more effort and time to develop.
♡ limit your phone usage
I know we live in a day and age where technology runs the world around us. Apparently, there are around 5.22 billion smartphone users around the world. I honestly thought the number would be higher, but that still is a lot of people. To think that we rely so much on this little device in our hands is so crazy. I mean little kids below the age of 10 have phones, tablets, laptops, and whatever else out there. As good and beneficial this can sometimes be, this reliance can become very unhealthy. Phone addiction is a real thing, and can have a detrimental affect on one’s health. The more we use our phones at times we may not really need it, the lower our productivity decreases. And it is so easy to waste hours of precious time on social media, Netflix or youtube. Sometimes, it hard not to go on our phones or technological device instead of doing actual work. However, limiting and controlling our phone use has many benefits. Lowering your phone-use can seriously improve your psychological health. It can decrease anxiety and stress. It also increases your concentration and improves your memory and sleeping habits. Which brings me to my next point, try to make it a habit of yours to not go straight to your phone right when you wake up. It slows down the momentum of beginning your day on the right foot. That being said, we also don’t want to go on our phones when we are about to go to sleep. It can do serious damage to our eyes and worsen our sleep quality. Pretty much, what we want to take from this point is that we have to control our phones, instead of our phones controlling us.
♡ manifest you getting your life together to existence
The very last point we will cover together for this post will hopefully wrap all these points together. It is to manifest getting your life together. I know this might sound a little silly but I 100% believe in manifestation, along with praying. Not just manifestation alone. I truly think that if you put your mind, heart and soul into something you will actually achieve it. How I like to think of manifestation is through listing a bunch of goals I want to achieve in a certain period of time and from there work towards them while imagining myself having achieved these goals. Because I am Muslim and I believe in Allah, I also take time to pray to Allah to help me achieve these goals and hopes of mine. Telling you that this process has worked 100% for me every time is an understatement. The amount of things I have been able to achieve through praying and manifestation is absolutely incredible, and has probably over time increased my aspirations for the future. I find that even those who don’t believe in a higher power, have their own way of spirituality and “praying” for whatever it is they want. So I think we can all fit this part into our own lives into any way we find suitable, and hopefully make it a habit of ours.
Anyways you girlies thank you so much for reading through this post. InshAllah you learned something new and are able to take somethings from it.
